Brazil ETFs

The Brazil ETFs are the Exchange-Traded Funds that invests in equities in Brazil, either through local stock exchanges or with American and global depositary receipts on European and U.S. stock exchanges.

Brazil is one of the world's four top emerging-market economies (BRIC - Brazil, Russia, India and China). The economy of Brazil holds a lot of the attraction. Brazil has been satisfying investors in a great way for months now.

Brazilian economy is strong in areas like natural resource production, finance, exports, and growth is expected in home building, retail sales and infrastructure improvements. The Brazilian currency is the world's best-performing currency against the dollar in 2009.

Brazil ETFs are passively managed and are based on a country index created by fund managers, or a widely followed third party index.

These are few of the Exchange Traded Funds which allow for market exposure in Brazil without all the hassle of regulated market:

iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund (EWZ) : The iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund seeks to provide investment results generally equivalent to publicly traded securities in the Brazilian market, as measured by the MSCI Brazil Index.

WisdomTree Dreyfus Brazilian Real Fund (BZF) : WisdomTree's Dreyfus Brazilian Real Fund seeks to earn current income reflecting money market rates in Brazil, as well as provide exposure to the movement of the Brazilian Real relative to the U.S. Dollar.

Telebras HOLDRS ETF (TBH) : Telebras HOLDRs are a single, exchange-traded instrument designed to represent each of the twelve subsidiaries that are being spun off from Telebras, Brazil's national phone system, as part of its privatization.

iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (IBZL) : The iShares MSCI Brazil provides exposure to an entire index of Brazilian equities in just one trade. This fund provides an opportunity for portfolio diversification and can be used to gain exposure to world equities. This ETF is listed on the British LSE exchange.
